Pure Love Campaign

 

Cabiao National Senior High School organized a Pure Love Campaign last February 14. This endeavor aimed to promote awareness about the adverse effects of premarital sex, HIV, AIDS, and teenage pregnancy. A Pure Love Walk of SHS students and teachers in Barangay Natividad, Palasinan, and Bagong Silang commenced the program. The students with their placards expressed to the community their crusade against premarital sex and teenage pregnancy. After the Pure Love Walk, the students assembled in the gymnasium for the Pure Love Symposium. The school invited Ms. Jhoana Marie T. Manansala, RN, Health Education and Promotion Officer II of Provincial Health Office and Mr. Ronaldo R. Larioque, LPT, Ph. D., Professor at Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology to serve as resource speakers of the said symposium. The two dynamic speakers enlightened the SHS students about the adverse effects of premarital sex, HIV, AIDS, and teenage pregnancy. The SHS students acted in response to the advocacy through the Pure Love Pledge. Mr. Luijim S. Jose, SHS Teacher III, headed this venture.

 

 

The Pure Love Pledge

     The pure relationship of love between a man and a woman is a sacred gift from God, to be cherished and honored for the sake of building a true family, healthy society and a world of peace for future generations. Once that love is consummated, it is not to be broken.

Therefore I commit myself:

To refrain from all sexual relationships before marriage;

To respect and honor the ideal of purity in myself and others;

To learn how to practice pure love as a child, friend, spouse and parent;

To dedicate myself to absolute fidelity within marriage;

To encourage others to do the same.
